DAY 03

Fairhope Outdoor Adventures

A trip to Fairhope is not complete without a visit to the Fairhope Municipal Pier.  This pier is considered the “town square of Fairhope and features a fountain, rose garden, duck pond, and beach. While you can certainly visit it during any part of your trip, on Sunday mornings it is typically less crowded making it one of the best times to take in the beautiful bay views.

Visiting in the summer? Cool off with a stop by Ice Ice Baby Sno-Balls along the scenic route for traditional New Orleans-style sno-balls, open seasonally from 12:00pm – 8:00pm.

Many shops and restaurants are closed or have limited hours on Sunday so it is best to get your shopping in on Saturday or another day of the week.

Grab breakfast at the popular Warehouse Bakery and Donuts or downtown favorite Another Broken Egg. Finish your trip with a visit to the iconic Grand Hotel Resort and Spa. Visitors are welcome to eat at one of the many restaurants on site or take in the sights of this beautiful facility.  Opting for the Sunday jazz brunch at The Grand Hall is another exceptional choice, but make sure to get your dining reservations in early as it tends to book up. Children will enjoy the yard games outside of the restaurant and if you are staying on-site, a pool day is always a good idea. Each day at 3:45pm, there is a Civil-War replica cannon firing celebrating the history of the hotel and honoring our military.  Afterwards, head over to the Grand Hall for a daily lagniappe of tea and cookies.
