The Fairhope Foodie Tour

The Fairhope Foodie Tour is Fairhope’s original walking food tour. This 3-hour tour features 6 different dishes and tastings as well as 3 handcrafted drinks, with the addition of the cocktail package. Iced water is available at each restaurant for tour participants.

The first stop on the tour is at the popular coffee shop and wine bar, Provision where guests will try the Avocado West Indies Toast and the Provision Mule, with the purchase of the cocktail package. From there the tour continues to Panini Pete’s where guests will enjoy a selection of paninis and powdered beignets. A server was on hand for our visit to explain the different sandwiches. If you catch it on the right day, you may even run into Panini Pete himself!

After that, your guide will lead you to Bay Breeze Café for a sampling of the best roasted corn bisque around served with a “grown-up” grilled cheese. This is also the second drink stop with the cocktail package.  A visit to The Happy Olive is next on the tour for an olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting. Tour participants will learn what goes into a good olive oil and the proper way of tasting.

The tour stays on De La Mare with a trip to Dragonfly Foodbar. Here guests will each receive a specialty taco and turnip fries. It is also the last drink stop on the tour. Finally, the tour wraps up at the popular ice cram shop, Mr. Gene’s Beans for the iconic Fairhope Float.

Sweet Tour Alabama

The Taste of Fairhope’s newest tour explores the sweeter things in life. This 2-hour tour takes place on Saturday mornings at 10:00am. The walking tour begins at Provision where guests will try the savory and sweet Strawberry Feta Toast. For those partaking in the drink package, the first drink stop is here as well with the Summer Breeze.

From there, the tour continues to Fairhope Chocolate where guests will indulge in a handmade southern praline with real butter and local pecans. Guests will also try an assortment of milk, dark, and white Belgian Neuhaus Chocolate. A bubbly drink is available with the addition of the “Blue Skies” package.

The Fairhope Sweet Shop is the next stop on the tour. A locally made Frios pops is the perfect icy treat for those warm summer months. The tour concludes at Mr. Gene’s Beans where guests will try the delicious Fairhope Float.
