Let the good times roll at one of our four family-friendly Mardi Gras Parades. These exciting must-see events bring festive fun to downtown Fairhope, Alabama every February. Raise your hands and get ready to cheer on the floats as the riders throw beads, treats, and moon pies to the excited crowd. Don’t forget to check out the Mystic Mutts of Revelry Pet Parade where over 600 canines take to the streets to support our local animal shelter.  

When the temperatures begin to warm up and the flowers start to bloom, over 200 artists and exhibitors take to the streets of downtown to showcase their finest selections at the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival. Celebrating over 50 years, this popular event is a long-time favorite for locals and visitors alike. With craft projects and face painting for kids, it is a fun-filled weekend for the whole family.  

On the first Friday of the month, Fairhope art galleries and shops stay open late for an evening of fun. Begin at the Eastern Shore Art Center for the latest exhibit and make your way downtown to enjoy live music, refreshments, and shopping.  Finish the evening with dinner and drinks at one of our spectacular dining options. 

Hang out with the locals at this family and pet-friendly concert series happening every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Live at Five features some of the south’s greatest bands in one of the coolest outdoor venues in Fairhope. Bring a chair and cooler for this lively and entertaining music event.  

Enjoy unique eats and treats while learning about the city during the Taste of Fairhope downtown walking food tour. The Taste of Fairhope offers two walking food tours, the Fairhope Foodie Tour and the Sweet Tour Alabama. Private tours are available and both tours take place rain or shine. 

The Fairhope Outdoor Farmer’s Market takes place seasonally in the parking area behind the Fairhope Public Library every Thursday afternoon. The farmer’s market features a varied selection of individual booths selling local produce, plants, honey, baked items, handmade soaps, gifts, and more.

From custom BBQ trailers to Texas smokers, grill masters unite to support our local rotary club. Bring your appetite and revel in the fun with multiple booths, live entertainment, raffles, and silent auctions throughout the streets of downtown Fairhope. Have a hand at the judging and make your pick for the coveted “People’s Choice Award.”

Enjoy fireworks and live music as the city of Fairhope hosts its annual Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks display.  The festivities are held at Henry George Park on the Bluff. The Baldwin Pops Band Independence Day Concert will play a variety of patriotic music before finishing off the evening with a spectacular fireworks show on the Fairhope pier. 

Held each year during the second weekend of November, film lovers unite to view notable feature films, shorts, and documentaries at five festival venues throughout downtown Fairhope.  Come celebrate the beauty and art of these world-class films during private screenings, events, and parties held throughout the weekend. 

Kick off the holiday season at Fairhope’s annual Lighting of the Trees.  Come and see the city all aglow at one of the most magical events of the year!  Enjoy live entertainment from the Fairhope High School band, the Fairhope Middle School band, and the Eastern Shore Choral Society. Don’t forget to visit Mrs. Claus who will be delivering letters to the North Pole.

Come out to celebrate the magic of the Christmas season as more than 60 floats take to the streets for one of the most family-friendly events in downtown Fairhope, Alabama.  Festive parade units and live music greet the eager crowd as they await for the arrival of Fairhope’s special guest coming all the way from the North Pole – Santa Claus.

Ring in the New Year with family and friends during the annual New Year’s Eve Celebration held in downtown Fairhope.  A live band, DJ, face painting, and fireworks entertain guests as they wait for the clock to tick midnight with a ball drop welcoming in the new year.
