Serving the Eastern Shore for over 65 years, Punta Clara Kitchen is a family-owned bakery and candy shop in historic Point Clear, Alabama. With handcrafted specialty candies, pralines, fudges, and more, there is a sweet treat for everyone inside this beloved bake shop.

Inside the store, guests can purchase individual candies, candies by the box, or gift baskets. The selection varies, but typically one can always find the store’s best-selling pralines, traditional and specialty pecans, and assorted candies. Specialty chocolate bunnies are also available for a delightful Easter treat.

Other candy varieties include pecan planks, divinity, homemade fudges, heavenly hash, pecan driftwood, chocolate covered English toffee, polliwogs, goober pies, sponge candy, bourbon balls, and coconut pecan dreams.

Sugar-free candy options are also available. The 15-piece sugar-free assortment box includes almond toffee, caramel pecan clusters, and chocolate covered caramels.

Homemade fruit cakes and old-fashioned pound cakes are also available. The pound cakes come in three delicious flavors including vanilla, chocolate, and praline. Other specialty cakes include Italian cream cake, butter crunch cake, German chocolate cake, coconut cake, lemon-filled cake, caramel cake, carrot cake, red velvet cake, Lady Baltimore cake, devil’s food cake, and brownies.

Along with cakes and candies, Punta Clara Kitchen also has a variety of preserves, honey, pickled items, and southern favorites including cheese straws, apple butter, and pepper jelly. Preserve flavors include fig, strawberry, and peach. Some of the jelly, jam, and marmalade flavors available are red raspberry, watermelon, blackberry, garlic, muscadine cider, margarita, scuppernong, and blueberry.

Punta Clara Kitchen is located at 17111 Scenic Highway 98, Fairhope, Alabama in the historic district of Point Clear. Built in 1897, the candy shop can be found inside the old Victorian home called, “Miss Colleen’s House”. Just one mile south of The Grand Hotel Resort and Spa, guests can take the main road or boardwalk along the bay. 

Parking can be found on-site in the shared parking lot with the Wash House restaurant.
