Located in downtown Fairhope, Aubergine is a French antique shop featuring culinary goods and oriental rugs. A sister store to Crown & Colony Antiques and R.F. Architectural and Gardens Antiques, Aubergine Antiques is known for its large variety of vintage European goods and competitive pricing. With a new shipment every other month, guests will enjoy the vast variety of antiques from all over Europe including France, England, Italy, Germany, and Belgium.
Antique culinary goods include beautiful copper pots and pans, wooden cutting boards and dough bowls as well as crystal glasses and decanters. Rustic ceramic vases, woven baskets, and silver serving trays work twofold as functioning vessels and decorative pieces.
A coffee table book on French cooking, striped linen tea towel, wine stopper, champagne bucket, or selection of gourmet salts would make an exceptional present for the culinary enthusiast. There is also a selection of wooden kitchen accessories including stirring spoons, salt and pepper shakers, and honey dippers that would complement any kitchen.
Along with the serving items, Aubergine Antiques has a beautiful selection of French country furniture. Dining table and chair sets, buffets, sideboards, armoires, and bar carts are all displayed beneath the delicate light from exquisite antique chandeliers. For an authentic historical feel, walls are adorned with antique oil paintings and large distressed mirrors.
The back of the antique store consists of a great room filled with multiple sizes of oriental rugs. Large rugs are hung from the walls as well as stacked on the ground. Smaller rugs can be found draped on holders for easy viewing. Coming in a variety of color palettes and styles, these rugs would make an excellent addition to any room in your home.

Aubergine Antiques is located at 315 De La Mare Avenue #A in downtown Fairhope, Alabama. Street parking is available on a first come first serve basis. Parking on De La Mare Avenue, Section Street Fairhope Avenue, or South Church Street would be the shortest walk to Aubergine Antiques.
There is also a public parking lot just north of the Fairhoper’s Community Park on South Church Street, a small parking lot behind Julwin’s Restaurant on Bancroft Street and another parking area just north of the Fairhope Public Library on Bancroft Street.
