Filled with vivid colors, pretty patterns, and delightful designs, 4Bags Boutique is a whimsical shop containing a variety of handbags, purses, satchels, wallets, clothing, scarves, gifts, jewelry, and accessories. Located in the heart of downtown Fairhope, Alabama, this eclectic boutique is full of fun and fashionable items that will stand out in a crowd. 

Originated by the collaborative efforts of sisterly duo Sharon Davis and Leslie Fram, these ladies are hands on in making sure the shop is filled with unique and distinctive goods. When speaking about the bright and bold shop selections, former school teacher Davis replied, “Color makes children happy and I thought it might make women happy too!”

Inventory changes with the season so make sure to visit often for updates to your wardrobe. Soft and light blouses are perfect for the warm spring and summer months while a cozy wrap, cardigan, or poncho will have you ready for the cooler fall and winter weather.

Stay dry while you’re out shopping! The weather can be unpredictable, especially in the South. Besides the large selection of handbags and purses, 4Bags Boutique is a favorite spot to pick up a unique umbrella or a bestselling reversible rain-cape. Make sure to look up as many of the designer umbrellas can be seen floating from the ceiling.

If you have a sweet tooth, don’t forget to grab a candy orange slice that stay stocked year round.

Carrying a diverse selection of items, 4Bags offers many goods created by designers throughout the southeast.  One of these featured artisans is New Orleans based author and artist, Jax Frey. Frey’s purses, totes, and scarves are designed with colorful street views and famous landmarks throughout New Orleans. Her book series “The Gumbeaux Sistahs” can also be found here.

Charleston-based handbag designer Add Lib is another southeastern brand that is sure to please. Available in two sizes, these ideally sized clutches are large enough to store all of your necessities, but small enough to keep things light and breezy. Add a strap to transform these bags into a small tote or crossbody.

4Bags Boutique of Fairhope supports many ministry based businesses where the purchase of a handbag or purse goes far beyond supporting local businesses. One of these companies is the non-profit group We All Are One Ministry out of Dover, Florida. According to the website, this group aims at “improving the lives of orphans, widows and poor and those that care for them as ministers or social workers.”

Visitors of 4Bags will find a large selection of handbags available from the Baskets of Cambodia collection. Employing over 400 artisans in Cambodia, the company provides their workers with a healthcare safety net program, yearly dividends, and schooling options in varying degrees.

Another way to spread goodwill in your community is through Kathy Wilde’s Tiny Purses with a Purpose. These purses are not only cute and functional, but filled with 20 inspirational messages to share with friends, family, or anyone who needs an uplifting word.

4Bags Boutique is located at 40 South Section Street in downtown Fairhope, Alabama. It is located between the Section Street entrance of Fairhope’s French Quarter and the Page and Palette bookstore.

Street parking is available on a first come first serve basis. Parking on South Section Street, De La Mare Avenue, Johnson Avenue, Fairhope Avenue, South Bancroft Street or South Church Street would be the shortest walk to 4Bags Boutique. There is also a public parking lot just north of the Fairhoper’s Community Park on South Church Street, a small parking lot behind Julwin’s Restaurant on Bancroft Street, and another parking area just north of the Fairhope Public Library on Bancroft Street.
