A delightful bakery in the heart of downtown Fairhope, Sugar House is known for it’s exquisite wedding cakes, fun custom cakes, flavored cupcakes, and sweet treats. Drop by during regular business hours for a varied selection of cupcakes and seasonal themed goods such as cake pops, brownies, cookie sandwiches, hot chocolate bombs and more.
A varied selection of flavored cupcakes are available for purchase in-store, while supplies last. For a dozen or more, it is recommended to order these in advance. If making a last minute cupcake run, the best option is to arrive at the bakery right at opening. Depending on the day, these tasty cupcakes have been known to sellout by lunch!
While you can find some favorite flavors each day, like the ever popular wedding cake, surprise flavors change out seasonally. Some fun flavors that we have seen in-store include strawberry lemonade, chocolate cherry, banana pudding, cookies-n-creme, pina colada, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate strawberry, vanilla confetti, key lime, chocolate mint, and s’mores.
If looking for a picture worthy cake for your next event, look no further than Sugar House. While it is recommended to order your cake between 2 to 3 months out from your event date, this popular bakery is known to fill up well in advance. To guarantee availability, it is best to order as soon as your date is secured. Check out the custom cake gallery on the Sugar House website to view a selection of previous creations.
Wedding cakes, birthday cakes, special event cakes, and smash cakes are available in nine traditional flavors including butter, vanilla bean, chocolate ripple, chocolate chip, lemon, almond, marble, red velvet, and confetti. Premium flavors are available for an additional cost. These include carrot, strawberry, coconut, butter pecan, cookies-n-creme, and caramel.
Icing flavors include vanilla buttercream, almond buttercream, lemon buttercream, chocolate buttercream, and chocolate fudge. For a special touch, raspberry buttercream, strawberry buttercream, coconut buttercream, peanut butter buttercream, caramel buttercream, Oreo buttercream, and cream cheese are available at an upcharge.
Traditional filling flavors include vanilla buttercream, almond buttercream, lemon buttercream, chocolate buttercream, and chocolate fudge. Premium fillings are available and include strawberry preserve, raspberry preserve, blueberry preserve, blackberry preserve, raspberry buttercream, strawberry buttercream, coconut buttercream, peanut buttercream, caramel buttercream, and Oreo buttercream.

Sugar House is located at 6B South Bancroft Street in downtown Fairhope, Alabama. Street parking is available on a first come first serve basis. Parking on Bancroft Street, Fairhope Avenue, Section Street, or School Street would be an easy walk to Sugar House.
A public parking garage is conveniently located on North Church Street behind the Hampton Inn. There is also a public parking lot just north of the Fairhoper’s Community Park on South Church Street, a small parking lot behind Julwin’s Restaurant on Bancroft Street, and another parking area just north of the Fairhope Public Library on Bancroft Street.
