Featuring books from all genres, there are sections dedicated to bestsellers, romance novels, mysteries and thrillers, non-fiction selections, sci-fi books, young adult readers, children’s books, holiday titles, and local guides. The Book Inn has a large selection of used children’s classics, Little Golden Books, and early readers. The rotating selection has some beloved favorites including Biscuit, The Magic Schoolbus, Curious George, Ramona the Pest and other Beverly Cleary selections, as well as the New York Times Best-selling series Upside Down Magic. Seasonal books celebrating Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and Thanksgiving are also available.

Patrons may trade in their used books at The Book Inn. The trade-in prices are listed in store, but are typically 40% off the listed publisher’s price. Some books can be traded 2 for 1 at the discretion of The Book Inn management team.
The Book Inn is located at 15 South Section Street in downtown Fairhope, Alabama. The store’s main entrance faces Section Street and the cross street, De La Mare Avenue. Street parking is available on a first come first serve basis. Parking on Section Street, De La Mare Avenue, Fairhope Avenue, South Bancroft Street, or South Church Street would be the shortest walk to The Book Inn used bookstore.
There is also a public parking lot just north of the Fairhoper’s Community Park on South Church Street, a small parking lot behind Julwin’s Restaurant on Bancroft Street and another parking area just north of the Fairhope Public Library on Bancroft Street. These would all be convenient options for parking when visiting The Book Inn.
